One method we use to fund the chapter is to try and have corporate sponsors for the technical meetings. A technical meeting corporate sponsor pays for the meeting room and provides refreshments for the meeting. The cost for this varies, but has been approximately $300 per meeting.

·         One member of your staff, your Chapter Sustaining Representative, receives an EDFAS individual membership.

·         Access to chapter meetings and events providing your company visibility with chapter members and attendees.

·         Through the local chapter, your company’s staff can meet and interact with peers, suppliers and customers to share current information, solve technical problems and form lasting friendships.

·         EDFAS members are encouraged to support our Chapter Sustaining Members.

·         Opportunity to present technical, organizational, or strategic material to Failure Analysis professionals.

·         Opportunity to interact with the executive council and serve either as a chapter officer or committee member. By taking an active role, your company will help guide the direction of the chapter, from technical programming and education to student outreach and social events.

·         Chapter Sustaining Members will be honored at meetings, on our website, in meeting announcements, flyers, news releases and any other official publications.

·         Obtain a direct link from the Lone Star Chapter website to your company’s website.

·         List of all EDFAS members in the state of Texas will be provided upon request.

·         Visibility into how EDFAS works with other professional societies.

·         Networking with Failure Analysis professionals. This goes beyond the standard networking that occurs at ISTFA.

·         Plan to start holding one meeting a year where Chapter Sustaining Members can set up display tables, and each sponsor will be given 10 minutes to talk about products.

EDFA provides insight and trends in failure analysis, reviews of lab facilities, new product announcements, recognition of outstanding contributions in the field of failure analysis and the news of the society.

  • Participate in the email discussion list-- a great way to network and exchange ideas with others in the field of electronic failure analysis. (All EDFAS members are automatically subscribed to the email discussion list.)

  • Save when registering for the annual event of the society, The International Symposium on Testing and Failure Analysis (ISTFA), the premier conference for advanced failure analysis techniques and tools for microelectronic applications. This unique forum is comprised of a technical conference and educational seminars organized by experts in the field of testing and failure analysis.

  • Obtain "members-only" discounts on ASM publications and have the opportunity to publish your own technical works.
